Info needed on gadgets for my home

Hey guy's

I am looking into getting my house modernized in to the future with gadgets! But i don't know where to start? i have android phones so if possible i would like android apps to control as much as possible, can we really do it like in the movies? i want as many Android gadgets around the house as possible!
Where do i start?
What are trusted brands?
And where can i find the best Android gadgets for sale sites/shops??
