Wonder if anybody has experienced the following.

I was away Christmas Day, returning Boxing Day. I set my custom menu which had all zones bar one at 14c. The one exception is my conservatory which I left set to 5c. I checked the app later and all was ok. Yesterday before setting off home I checked the app and surprised to see one zone was apparently set to 35c but the temperature was 22c (the custom setting I had fixed was 14c). Something caused a change and there was nobody at home. I cancelled the custom setting on the way home and checked that the zone was properly set to its normal temperature. When I got home the radiator was warmer than it ought to be, it was 21C yet set to 17.5. I removed the HR92 took the batteries out then put it back. Seemed oK rest of the evening.

This morning the zone was warmer than it should be yet the readings and settings on the HR92 were as they should be. I removed the batteries from the Panel and then reinstalled. As I write this all is now as it should be. But something had gone wrong. Any thoughts anybody? As said, nobody at home and in the app the settings were right.

It seems to me I have an HR92 going on the blink. Two years old, installed December 2014.

This has given rise to three thoughts:

1. What is the life expectancy of an HR92? Surely more than 2 years?

2. What to do if an HR92 fails. Yes I can put a normal TRV control back on but the radiator is useless unless another radiator is activated to get the boiler fired up. Of course I could swap HR92s around where there is a room I don't need heating. Another solution which has made me go to the Evohome Shop is have a spare HR92 just in case! Order placed this morning!!

3. It would be much better if in the app the custom menus can be adjusted. Far better to be able to change the temperature settings in them in the app and also control how long the quick action is to run. Being able to configure it for a specific time as opposed to days would be much better.
