Hi
We have recently replaced our boiler with a new system boiler and unvented hot water cylinder, and added wet underfloor heating to part of the house. We've used evohome to control the hot water, underfloor heating and radiators and this has been working well for the past few months. The physical setup is as follows:
The radiators all have manual TRVs and are controlled via a single evohome thermostat in the hallway.
That was all working as expected, with the disadvantage that bedrooms could only be heated if the hallway set point temperature hadn't been reached. To get over this problem I have just bought some HR92 radiator controllers to replace the manual TRVs in some rooms. They seemed really easy to add to the system; I added each one as a new zone and set up a schedule for each one. I then realised that although the boiler switched on when the temperature dropped in one of the rooms, the motorised zone valve wasn't being switched. I tried re-adding the HR92s as a zone valve, rather than radiator valve, and binding to the BRD91 that controls the radiator zone valve, but then realised that the HR92s are now only acting as sensors.
Is there any way to configure the evohome controller so that it knows to activate the BDR91 that controls the radiator zone valve when one of the HR92s (configured in radiator valve mode) requires heat? I'm a bit stumped.
Thanks

We've used evohome to control the hot water, underfloor heating and radiators and this has been working well for the past few months. The physical setup is as follows:
- There are 3 motorised zone valves to control the supply of heat for hot water, underfloor heating and radiators.
- 1 x BDR91 calls for heat when required by the evohome controller.
- 1 x BDR91 activates the radiator zone valve when the hallway temperature sensor drops below the set point temperature
- 1 x BDR91 activates the hot water zone valve when the hot water temperature drops too low.
- 1 x underfloor heating controller activates the underfloor heating zone valve and pump when one of the underfloor heating zones requires heat.
The radiators all have manual TRVs and are controlled via a single evohome thermostat in the hallway.
