Hi all,
I have a question about what would be the correct way to setup zones on the downstairs of my property. I have two 'open plan' areas. The first one is a lounge with adjacent playroom each with a radiator in each room. I also have an open plan hallway, kitchen, dining room and utility room with no doors and shares 3 radiators, taking up about 65-70% of the ground floor.
I have currently setup each radiator as a 'zone', so Lounge being Lounge, Hallway being Hallway so on and so forth - but I'm concerned I'm now pitting the HR92's against each other. I'm wondering if I should have only two zones and utilise T87RF to control each of the two zones in a central location (for example, if I'm cooking in the open plan kitchen but the heat isn't going down the hallway - it'll force that zone up high as it's below target temp whilst dining room radiator is way over target temp.
I'm happy enough with the system, but the lounge is irregular in temperature as sometimes the playroom heats the ambient up in the lounge, but as the lounge HR92 is behind a sofa it doesn't immediately sense the heat and starts to ramp up causing the target temperature to be right but actual temperature is + 2 or 3 degrees.
Sytem I have is:
Evohome Controller
Boiler Relay
Mobile Link (Broadband Link)
8 x HR92
3 x T87RF (yet unfitted).
I've attached a floor plan, and appreciate any input into what would be the best way to configure the Evohome system to this layout. I did the newb thing and fitted myself from a previous Hive installation and already had TRVs so it was a fairly straightforward retrofit - just getting it configured to an optimal level is beyond my knowledge!
Thanks,
Jay
